Today was a really nice day for me to get out of the house, and got attend a food tasting with some really great guys in my life, Dane and Carter. A week back we RSVP’d to attend a food tasting at the Westin in Buckhead, Atlanta. Westin had a new Executive Chef George Schnepp who allowed us to come out and have an exclusive tasting, dive in and lets see what was on the Menu!!!
First we were welcomed by a nice table setting that was out on the balcony! Something so simple such as this wooden table and a flower in the middle made the start of the tasting seem so elegant.
Next it was time for the drinks, I enjoyed myself a nice glass call the HOT TAMALE. It was a fiery colored cocktail garnished with a cherry and an orange. The cocktail was quite tasteful and had a zing that certainly opened up your senses.
After the drinks we certainly were ready to eat what was on the menu.
What you see on my plate is nice veggie salad with cucumbers, corn, and tomatoes on top of a bed of lettuce, salmon wrapped in shredded potatoes (fried) garnished with shrimp, smothered chicken, and last but not least a pulled pork sandwich with cornbread muffins as the buns.
I also wanted to try their watermelon and feta salad as well as the fried green tomato in the far right corner.
Everything was beyond amazing!!! It taste great as it looks.
Lastly was the desert, and it was peaches and crème and a small pound cake that went right along with it.
